4 Lab Sciences (APES, AP Physics, AP Chem, AP BIo, all before senior year)
1 extra year of Spanish

EC's
4 years Volleyball (3 Varsity, Captain 10th grade)
4 years Basketball (2 Varsity)
Robotics Competition (2 years, possibly captain this year)
350 + hours Community Service
Summer Paid Job Coaching (Leader of small groups)

He will take the ACT and retake the SAT this fall.

Any thoughts?

GPA and SAT look competitive. Physics would be an easier acceptance than ME. My younger son had 4 friends that applied to SLO this past year for ME. GPA 4.3+ and SAT scores of 2100+. Only 1 friend was accepted at SLO but the others were accepted at UCLA/UCSD/UCSB, so he might want also apply to several of the UC’s. I heard UCSB has a great Physics department.

For Physics: Match
For ME: High Match/Low Reach
Good Luck
