i heard cal poly pomona takes the highest for each out of all your sat scores or something, help me out.

my friend got into calpoly (SLO), with about 3.3 and 1120(440W)... he had a hook though... URM (1/4 mexican)... 2 or 3 APs... top20%... he's majoring in computer science with business.... did this help? LOL

if you are a resident within cal poly pomona's designated service area, around twenty miles radius around the campus, you are in.

if you are not you still have a chance but are not a lock. that school does not need to worry about minority profiles since 70 per cent of the student body, led by an asian plurality, are minorities.

the other issue is that a number of academic programs there are impacted. what do you intend to study?

finally, if you are a wrestler did you consider cal state fullerton--which does have a team?

maybe in the university but not into impacted programs. both cal polys have quite a few of those as well as long beach state and san diego state. in arch, for example, the admit rate is six per cent at SLO and eight per cent at pomona. on some of these campuses you can declare a different major and slide over, on others it can get tricky.
