I’ve already been accepted to CSULB and CSUF for the same major. I’ve only received an invitation to the Kellogg honors society from CPP, but that was back in January. I’m a little nervous because many of my friends have already received acceptance letters from CPP.
4294 EI for CS might be low. If they admit you to a backup major, you probably should take the CSUF or CSULB slot. Those campuses are quite nice. I assumed your 3.93 was capped weighted CSU GPA
@Gumbymom …I’m curious as to what the EI is for Cal Poly Pomona Mech. Engineering majors. My son has SAT Math-680, Eng/Wrt- 690 and GPA 3.7. Puts his EI at 4330. Still hasn’t heard from them and wondering what his chances are. Thanks!
@Thunder52: Your son’s EI looks competitive for ME but it will depend upon how he compares to all the other ME applicants. I have no specific EI data for ME at Cal Poly Pomona and CPP does not publish their EI thresholds like SJSU.
I would have him call admissions to make sure everything is complete with his application and inquire about when he should expect a decision. I do know that CPP is painfully slow with their decisions and has been for several years. Be the squeaky wheel and prod admissions into giving you some information.
@Gumbymom thank you so much for replying. He phoned this am and new info is that the decisions should be out by the END of April which makes it tight for kids given most schools May 1st acceptance deadlines. Thanks again for your reply.
