Cal Poly Pomona - Chemistry

What are my chances of getting in? I have a 3.5 GPA weighted and 3.3 unweighted. (academic) My SAT score is 1740, and I'm a senior. I have done a decent amount of community service hours and am in a couple extra curricular clubs.

The Calif publics are VERY GPA driven. What is your CSU GPA?

ECs/service hours will not overcome GPA.

I believe it’s 3.6.

Most CSUs (including Pomona) use an eligibility index of ( CSUGPA * 800 + SATCR + SAT_M ). ECs do not count at all. A minimum of 2900 for in-state applicants and 3502 for out-of-state applicants is needed for baseline CSU eligibility.

However, Pomona is an impacted campus, so its standards will be higher. Certain local area high schools’ graduates are preferred, though it does not say how big the preference is. There are also some majors which are impacted on a major basis and have even higher standards, but chemistry is not one of them.
