I am choosing between Calpoly SLO and Pomona, leaning toward to Pomona due to the cost…
I have question about the priority in Calpoly Pomona. Do you know about it? Is it difficult to get one?

@RenterTime I’m not 100% sure how priority works for Pomona but I do have a friend who goes there and tells me that first years mostly just get their GE courses out of the way then start taking classes for their major sophmore year. That of course all depends on whether you’ve taken AP test or have transferable credit, both of which would give you a bit more priority
I favor Pomona for the price too, EE major and the campus is amazing, can’t go wrong there. Both SLO and Pomona are strong engineering schools.
for my admission status, it still says “Ready for Decision” even though its past the deadline. Is my admission still going through the process or is it completely over?
@williamL97 Looking at some of the other threads I saw that Pomona was going to continue giving out rolling decisions until the end of April with some coming out mid April (possibly 15/16th) I know others who are in the same boat as well. Stay confident guys.
I have “Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology” major for Pomona. Is this major good?
Is anyone going to Pomona in April 8th?
@BigBoss2498 Sorry for the sudden, but are you a junior or senior in Pomona?
@RenterTime Im going to be a first year, my friend is a junior however.
Pomona has a strong EE field: [10th NATIONALLY: Largest electrical engineering undergraduate program, U.S. News & World Report*] So getting in for that major is a strong accomplishment. As for April 8th I got the email too but I’m not sure if i want to attend. I haven’t heard much on that particular program.
oh okay.that’s reassuring. thank you!
It is April 8th and I’m still at Ready for Decision. I’m a Sociology major. I want to go to Pomona because I only have Sac State and CSUN as (admitted) options. Is there still hope for me? They have to let you know before May 1st right?
