For all who have been accepted, what is your final decision?

I’m pulled between SDSU and CPP, but leaning toward CPP because I think a polytechnic school would be better for me and also because I feel it has a nicer college of business. My major is marketing. Got my admission this past week.

Congratulations on your admission. I’m not a transfer for Fall 2014, I was for Fall 2012. I’m graduating in June and I’d say it’s a great school, especially for the value. I’d double the value if you’re a STEM major. I’m actually considering staying here for another two years to complete a master’s degree, but I am kind of thinking about jumping ship to Northwestern or UC Riverside. I dunno yet. If you do well here, you should have many opportunities after graduation.

Anyways, I hear good things about the business program. It has been very hands-on for me, which I enjoyed because you can list those projects on your resume too.

@caldud Thanks for the info. I have a question, when you transferred did you live on campus or off campus? I was planning on living in the suites and I get financial aid, but i’m not sure how much that will cover. My boyfriend is mad because he thinks I’ll be wasting money and getting myself in debt.

@kaislinn91: I’m not the best person to ask because I took out loans to entirely fund my education to get out quickly as possible. I applied to live on campus twice at the suites, but I did not get a spot both times. You can often find a roommate. There’s a Facebook page I think dedicated to finding roommates/people to live with on Facebook. I live by myself and it is quite costly ($1005 a month). I’d say if you’re looking to have the “college experience” I would live on campus, but there is also the university village extremely close nearby. I think it’s right across the street 'cause I just went to the farm store about 30 minutes ago. I think the suites cost 875-900 a month, even with roommates? I don’t remember. But you have to apply early to get a spot usually.

Ok thanks! I’ll apply today and see what happens. I know about the university village, but this year there isn’t anything about them on the website which is weird, maybe they changed? There’s some place called CRS and it’s this really urban cottage like place.
