Has anyone recently applied and has been denied. I applied last fall to CPP and CSUF and was accepted to both. I accepted csuf and was later denied to not meeting the gpa requirement of 2.8. I wanted tp know if anyone knows what gpa was the cut off.

Kinesiology major

@linksyr1: CPP’s decisions for transfers is usually in April. Your chances are dependent upon GPA and completion of the transfer requirements. The average CSU GPA for transfer applicants was 3.28 overall (not major specific), so if your GPA is still 2.8, then you are below the average for the overall campus.

Did you retake any courses in which you received below a C to bump up your GPA? Have you completed all transfer requirements? Kinesiology is an impacted major so there are more qualified applicants than spots available. It will come down to how you compare to all the Kinesiology transfers.

The minimum CSU Transfer GPA to apply is 2.0 but each school can determine a specific GPA requirement for admitted students (provisional admission) to maintain upon enrolling.

@Gumbymom: When I checked last year’s applications on this forum, I see that people started getting decisions by March 20th. Is it different this year?

@aviator172rr: each year can vary on the decision timeline. Most decisions will be out in April but Late March is also possible.

@Gumbymom I see. Thanks

Just got admitted to CSUF but still waiting for CPP

Hey guys!

I got admitted to CSULB yesterday. (Aerospace Engineering, 3.4 GPA)

CPP is my first choice though. Does anyone have any idea whether CPP is more difficult to get accepted in Engineering than CSULB is or vice versa?

Looks like they started sending out decisions on February 20th last year. So stressed!!!

Did you get that Kellogg Honors College email from CPP? I heard that getting that email was a good sign. Their average transfer GPA was 3.15 I believe so you seem competitive to me. I think it might be a bit harder to get into engineering for CPP? Just because their engineering program is more renowned… not totally sure though. Anyways congrats on CSULB! I also got in for computer science (:
