As a hopefully transferring student in the next 1-2 years, I have a lot of questions regarding my major, especially since I made up my mind to study architecture not too long ago.

I am currently attending a community college in southern california and have taken interest in Cal Poly Pomona because of not only their program but also their low costs compared to other schools(?). How is SLO relative to Pomona? Starting with the costs to the difficulty and the pros and cons...
Feel free to leave any advice/comments and thanks in advance!

SLO is I think about $3,000 per year more than Pomona. It is also harder to get into SLO than Pomona. I don’t know anything about architecture at either school though.

Both school are great. Cal Poly SLO ranks 3rd nationally and fist in the western region for architecture. Here are a couple of the links:
[Architecture Program Ranking - Architecture Department - Cal Poly](http://www.arch.calpoly.edu/prospective/ranking-2010.html) [Cal Poly Architecture, Design Programs Earn Top Honors Again from DesignIntelligence](http://www.calpolynews.calpoly.edu/news_releases/2011/November/designintelligence.html)

SLO is among the best in the entire country. Not sure about Pomona, but I am sure that it is no slouch. Apply to both and hope for the best!
