Cal Poly Pomona/ suggestions for other UC's

Hi I was wondering if anyone could give me their opinion regarding if they think I have a good chance of getting into cal poly pomona.
I have a 3.7 gpa
I take multiple AP classes
I have an ACT score of 23/24
I have an SAT score of
writing: 540
math:450
english:600
if there are any other UC suggestions you have, or any other california schools you think I would have a good chance of getting into, it would be very helpful.

I think yes on Cal Poly Pomona. Your SAT is usually where acceptances drop off, but you have a high GPA and good course rigor.

Is your 3.7 GPA your CSU GPA? What is your intended major? SAT is on the low side which could impact your chances if you are pursuing a STEM major. I am assuming you are a Junior?

my soph year i had a 2.8 gpa and this year i jumped to a 3.7 (i heard colleges like a little success story). i intent to major in bio, and then go to PA school. my college choices also depend on whether the college has a pre-PA school or not.

At the end of your Junior year, calculate your CSU/UC GPA: http://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

All CSU’s use the Eligiblity index (except SLO): (CSU GPA x800) + (SAT Math + CR). If your EI is around 3800+, you should be in good shape for CPP.

A upward grade trend is good for admissions, but since the CSU’s only use 10-11th grades, it will still impact your chances. Much will depend upon your final CSU/UC GPA. Your best chances for UC’s would be UC Merced and Riverside, since your ACT/SAT are also on the low side. Look at Cal State Fullerton, Northridge, Long Beach, San Francisco, Sac State, San Jose State and Chico state to consider. You have time, so definitely retake either test (s) by Oct of Senior year.

Come back and repost with all your stats.

BTW: You do not need to go any specific school to apply for a PA program. You only need to go to a school that offers all the PA course requirements to apply.
