Cal Poly Pomona Wait list

Hi. I have just been wait listed to cal poly pomona for animal science. what are my chances of being accepted from the wait list? Also, in previous years, has anyone been accepted off the wait list from CPP? I have heard that from CSU long beach, they offer wait lists, but no one has been accepted from that wait list in 3 years. I am really nervous because I really want to attend this school.

@bugsy12 I believe students have been accepted from the waitlist much further into the summer. However, I don’t believe they were officially on the waitlist. Their status still said “application received or referred to impacted plan”. Animal Science is an impacted major, however, if this is your passion, no waitlist will ever stop you. It will be a bump in your rear view mirror. Best of luck.

To all those who have also been wait listed to CPP feel free to post here. We can wait together. :))

@bugsy12 how were you informed you were waitlisted? Sorry you’re waitlisted. I hope there’s a definitive date by when you’ll know the outcome of that. SDSU waitlisted my D, she was told that decisions for waitlisted students will be made by mid May. I hope CPP has the same courtesy.

@onesupportivemom First it was changed on my portal under application status. Then they sent me an email with all the info about being on the waitlist about 2 days after the change on my portal. They told me that they should have a decision by the beginning of June. Best of luck to your daughter.

@bugsy12 Im animal science as well but my status says “referred to impacted plan”… I hope this doesnt mean I have no chance :frowning: what are your stats?

I just checked my portal and my status has changed. I am no longer waitlisted. I have been accepted. It wasn’t that long of a wait after all. I AM GOING TO CPP.

I was waitlisted for animal science on April 13th. Said screw this school and felt really passionate about UCSC or UCR…now just got the email saying I got accepted.

I don’t know what to do now!
