@messybun hi
What major did you apply for?
@messybun That’s Awesome. Congrats!
Yeah, I just want to know. The wait is killing me.
@messybun Congratulations!
@purplesuede23 Construction engineering
Oh and just a heads up guys: It’s not completely true that the earlier you applied in August, the earlier you’ll be notified by CPP.
My CSU application submission to CPP was dated 8/27, which is end of Aug.
my status has changed to “pending admissions decision”
I applied July 26, and I’m still at Ready for Review and transcripts still pending even though I know they got them.
@MLopez24 I applied early September, Major: Business
I applied June 8 and my status just changed from Ready for Review to Ready for Decision :-w
@mhern04 we’ll probably be notified with a decision early next week, but I’m hoping tomorrow is the day I’ll be given a decision. I can’t continue to wait, I need to know!! lol
@POLSi667 Hopefully! I was hoping last Friday and that for sure this week would be the one but nope, same old boat lol
Has anyone else received any news from Pomona?
haven’t heard anything yet. my theory is that the semester conversion is causing these problems and delays but who knows? also wondering if someone can chance me. I’m a former cpp student trying to transfer in w/ 3.5 gpa at my current CC and 2.37 at CPP and 2.00 at another CC. Cumulatve Gpa is like 2.7ish GPA. applying for CiS. They haven’t asked for my grades from the CC w/ the low GPA(2.0) so what are my chances?
@mdmich if you’re a former cpp student, can’t you just be readmitted if you’ve taken classes there? what is your status on your portal? does it state “pending admissions decision”
@POLSi667 I’m not too sure, to be honest. I hope so. My status says “Academic Department Review”
Hey guys, I may have some slightly good (or better) news. While paying my enrollment confirmation deposit, I noticed the due date for it being November 16th. That’s the deadline for ECD. That lines up with CSULB’s deadline for acceptance response as well, I think. So you all should definitely hear no later than the 16th. Hold on there!
@mdmich What major? And what was the reason you had to leave CPP? I know a friend who got kicked out of CPP because his GPA fell too low, and he busted his ass in cc to earn his way back in. I’ve heard that if it’s for that reason, CPP judges you more strictly.
@messybun I’m a CIS major. I stopped going because I was severely depressed and had an awful quarter where I failed 3/4 classes and decided to withdraw. Went to a CC for a bit but still wasn’t doing well (2.0) but over the past year I’ve been busting my butt and doing well at a different CC(3.6 Gpa). I never filed any paperwork or forms for leave of absence or taking a year off btw.
@mdmich That’s definitely good news
