Our daughter is in same situation, have seen biology applicants with lower stats accepted. Please share any info you acquire re future admission notification process, we are hoping this will happen. Doesn’t make sense that applicants with lower stats would be accepted, doesn’t fit the algorithmic selection process that is supposed to be utilized.
@joshgonzo50 are you bio too?
Maybe there’s something going on with the Biology department. Someone told me poly doesn’t accept the top apps but I don’t think that would make sense for Bio because it’s a v competitive major
Her stats are not at the top but higher than some that have posted acceptance, which creates the confusion given the selection is supposed to be algorithmic. Hoping that notifications for bio will continue to be made.
Don’t worry @collegehopeful2021chs I called the admissions office and they said that acceptances for all majors will be coming out within the next few weeks
@collegehopeful2021chs I applied for CS in state (from LA) with a 34 ACT (35 math and 35 English) and still haven’t heard anything even though others got in earlier today. Don’t worry
Any acceptance today from school of architecture OOS?
I say don’t give up until you are rejected. Students pretty much know a lot about their year, with no early admits this year, who knows. No one here, including me can give a definitive statement it is all simply opinions. Some have been here for years and some are new members. Some people probably post false information just to mess with you, like getting admitted with extremely low scores. You won’t hear from all your schools most likely until April 1st so if you think your stats compare well with those announcing they are admitted, don’t give up, but if they are significantly lower, you might prepare yourself. Most years they take only a handful of Waitlisted students, but last year there was a low enrollment rate of accepted students and they took 675 of the 1011 waitlisted, who knows if it was an anomaly or will happen again.
Accepted to Electrical Engineering

@lkg4answers I read your post about the second reading after the initial “academic reading.” Wondering if the second reading would mean a second acceptance notification round. My son’s school is a Hayden Partner School giving him additional 750 points but without it he’s on the borderline of MCA scores. With the bonus, he’s well over 5000. He hasn’t heard anything and says no one he knows from his school has either. Do you think those might come after the initial release of decisions?
@collegehopeful2021chs yes I applied under bio. I don’t think it is fair for people to get in with lower stats, doesn’t seem to fit a top notch school.
Are decisions released throughout the day or at once?
@californiapoly throughout the day
I’ve only seen one OOS acceptance for architecture and a few instate. Anyone have any insight?
we are waiting too for ARCH, OOS
Does anyone know if biochemistry decisions came out yet?
