I have been accepted to Cal Poly for Architecture, but I finished my Physics class with at D+ this last semester. My cumulative GPA barely dropped from a 3.459 to a 3.457. I understand that my admission will most likely be reviewed because I did not complete all my courses with at least a C or better. My question, though, is if anyone has had any familiarity with this situation or know anyone that has been rescinded or had their admission reviewed and ended up not be rescinded, if so, should I be worried?

I think no matter what anybody says you won’t stop worrying until you are given the final notice of whether or not you are officially in. but i don’t think you have anything to worry about if this is your first D+ and your gpa barely moved. But whats probably going to go through your mind is that physics is a needed class for your architecture major so they could take it away from you for that. All you can do is send in your transcripts asap when all of your grades are posted and your status will change to “your file was sent to admin” then it will change to “your file is under review” then it will change back to “Congratulations” or “You have not been selected blah blah blah” anyway good luck.

My son’s admission status changed to “under review” for several days (maybe a week) after sending in his transcript with a grade of D for AP Chemistry. But he had not listed AP Chem as a class on his application. Instead, he had listed “AP Chemisty Exam PASS” because the D happened during his junior year, so he knew before applying that his course grade would not be good enough for Cal Poly. Cal Poly does, however, grant credit for A-G courses for AP Exam scores of 3 and higher. His admission status eventually changed to “Congratulations.”

I don’t know what would have happened if he had gotten the D his senior year in a course he had reported as “In Progress” or “Planned” on his application.

Good Luck!
