I’m desperate for my favorite university in the fall of 2016, Cal Poly Slo. Majoring in Wine and Viticulture. Weighted GPA 3.47 and ACT composite of 28. What are my chances? I am a Southern California Resident, cellist, thespian and girl scout. I would appreciate any sage advice.
Average GPA for College of Agriculture and Environmental Science this admission cycle was 3.87. Average ACT 28 and SAT (Math+CR) 1253. You are on target with your ACT but GPA could be better. Wine and Viticulture major acceptance rate was around 70% so I think you have a good chance for an acceptance. I would apply ED, if SLO is your #1 choice. Good Luck.
Applying ED may help but, Due to your GPA, it is very unlikely you’ll be admitted to CP SLO.
I’d encourage you to apply but, think of alternates. Fresno and Sonoma come to mind.
Thank you for all your advice and wisdom
‘twinmom1998’: See if you can do an internship or work in wine/viticulture over the summer or next year. Cal Poly likes to see potential students who are already involved in their field.
will ed help if your gpa is in the ball park and ur act is 31+ for engineering?
@zdutta123. You should start your own thread and not “hijack” another posters thread. CC ettiequte…
