My GPA is a 3.8 at a community college. I do plan on transferring. Do i have a better chance of getting in to SLO for Computer science major or Business Administration major? I have an volunteer internship with processing digital media and I also volunteered at a hospital for 3 years.

Dude, You’ll get in. I got into Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. One thing they look for in Engineering/Comp Sci majors is if you’ve got your Math, Physics, Chem, or programming complete. They’ll consider you.
I applied there having had finished Calculus III, Physics I,II,III, Engineering Statics, Dynamics, Properties of Materials and they took me. In fact, they were the first school to accept me considering my shitty g.p.a.
I was accepted about two weeks ago. As long as you get all your prereqs on Assist.Org for your major done. Also, IGETC/CSU requirements. Other than that, you will definitely be accepted with your high G.P.A
@bdvi13 Hi there! My GPA is a 3.68 at a Community College as well. I plan to transfer to Cal Poly SLO by Fall 2017. I’m trying to get in for Real Estate Econ and so far I’m on track with completing major pre-reqs, IGETC, etc, however, because I exceed the maximum amount to tranfser(70), I am unable to take Calc1. But according to Assist.org, Calc 1 is only a “support course”. So my question is, are my chances of getting accepted very slim due to the inability to take class?
