I was wondering if anyone knows the acceptance rates for Cal Poly's biology and chemistry majors? I want to major in either of those and since Cal Poly accepts students by major I want to apply into whichever major is easier. And while you're at it it'd be awesome of you could tell me my chances of getting in. My 10-12 gpa is 3.62 unweighted and 4.08 weighted, I got a 3 on the AP test for biology, a 730 on the biology-ecology SAT subject test, and I got a 2060 on the SAT (CR- 620, M-790, W-650). Thanks!

You UW GPA is a bit low but the 4.08 weighted is good. SAT scores are very good. Here is a good guide: [Student Profile - Admissions - Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo](<a href=“Cal Poly Admissions”>Cal Poly Admissions)

With regards to impact level of chem vs. bio – not really sure. My assumption is that it is about the same.

You can realistically get into Cal Poly SLO.

By the way, the SAT 2 subject tests are irrelevant for SLO. They do not accept them.
