Hoping for some assistance from those who may have the answers:
Is there a place in the application to enter names of clubs, activities, etc? We have only been able to find where you enter the total number of hours.
Are non a-g courses supposed to be included in the academic history? Our guidance counselor says no, Cal State Apply says yes. This would be PE and Health.
Also, DS is taking several AP courses but only plans to take two AP exams. Do we list those exams in the AP section? And does it matter to schools if you elect not to take an exam for an AP course?
“Is there a place in the application to enter names of clubs, activities, etc? We have only been able to find where you enter the total number of hours.”
@Onederland, my son took six AP classes, but only two exams. No one seemed to care. They only care about the exams if you pass them and submit them for credit. That takes place after a student commits to the university.
Disclaimer: This only applies to my son’s experience with the CSU application. I have heard that some private schools have a different mentality about the test scores.
Where do you enter the hours spent on EC’s? I only see the place to list them optionally as achievements in the supporting information section of the application.
Hi Mom2Engineers,
Where do you see Cal Poly SLO specific questions? On the application, it goes right from “Add Program” to “Submit Application”, with no campus specific questions. Is there some way to get to the CP SLO questions? Thanks.
@jokt255 , click the lower right tile on the 4 tiles screen, you will go into the Cal Poly program page. There are two tabs on this page, one is “Home” , the other “Questions”. Click on the “Questions” will show you the SLO specific questions.
Under ‘Program Materials’ you’ll see the list of schools to which you are applying, When you click on the schools, you’ll see 2 tabs. The second one, ‘Questions’ is where you will fill in that information. The questions seem to be different for each school.
Hmmm… i made a screenshot for you, but can’t seem to figure out how to attach it.
