I am planning on applying ED as Cal Poly is my first choice. Do I have a shot at Computer Science, or at least Software Engineering?

THANKS!

Just to clarify that’s my Math ACT, avg was 28. I truthfully wasn’t going to submit that since my SAT’s are better.

You can only pick 1 major on your SLO application. They do not look at your alternate major, however, if you are deferred to RD, then you are allowed to change majors.
Software Engineering is supposedly easier to get into than CS but they also have less spots for Software Engineers. Your GPA is competitive, your ACT within range, but your CR on the SAT needs major improvement. For the School of Engineering: Average GPA: 4.12 Average GPA: 32 Average SAT (Math + CR): 1406
You have good EC’s but they only count for about 10% on your application. SLO also uses 9th grades in their CSU GPA calculation with no honors points, so you might want recalculate.

SLO: Low Reach/(High Match if you get either your ACT or SAT CR score up)
