Feel free to post the major you applied for along with info about majors. I applied for Construction Management with IGETC finished 3.18 gpa and all but business law finished for major prep. Guess I’m playing the waiting game. I saw the average gpa for transfers into College of Arch. was 3.27, I hope I make it. Good luck to all the applicants.

Major: Microbiology
GPA: 3.52
I have completed IGETC and will have completed all of my major prep courses by the end of Spring, except for ochem.
Also, I’m an in-state transfer from the LA area.

Major: Business Administration
GPA: 3.7
IGETC + prereq major classes completed by the end of spring.
LA area too.

But I noticed they specifically look at the math and science grades? I got a B in stats, B in Anthropology, and an A in chemistry.

Major: Industrial Technology
GPA: 3.1
IGETC + major prereq completed by the end of spring
from the bay area. De Anza College

Major: History

IGETC is completed and I’m missing one major prereq class.

Does anybody know when they release their admission decisions?

I read somewhere around this section of the forum that it comes out on April? Though it might be earlier. Hopefully earlier.

Major: Anthropology and Geography
GPA: 3.77
Transferring from CCC IGETC will be finished by spring
I’m in a tough situation because I no longer want to major in A&G but I’m unable to make changes to my application at this point. Unfortunately I’ll have little to no major prereqs done… I’m praying that my GPA and IGETC will help me out. Any input?

So I couldn’t find a decisions thread for last year, but transfer students in 2012 started getting acceptance notices during the last week of February… Hopefully that’s the case! I don’t think I can wait til April.

I can hardly wait for the last week of February, so April seems like an eternity. I have been checking like once a week, but over the next month that will increase to once a day. X_X

I’ll be right there with you @Deeppurple! SLO isn’t my first choice, but I’m still super anxious to see if I get in.

im trying to transfer for business administration. All the grades they look at for me are from UCSB and I have a 3.24 there, my fall grades bring me up to a 3.47 (I have a 4.0 for 16 semester units at CC but they dont see that) …expecting to get rejected but i’m gonna appeal because I have a legitimate medical reason.

@sourpatchkids According to the site’s transfer stats (<a href=“Cal Poly Admissions”>Cal Poly Admissions), there’s a chance of getting in considering how BA’s average GPA is 3.51 on average. Good luck!

Major: Business Admin w/ focus in Accounting
GPA: 3.94
Transferring from CC and have completed IGETC, all major prereqs, and the History/PoliSci graduation reqs.
Coming from San Diego area. Really hoping I get in, I love San Luis Obsipo!

Major: Architectural Engineering
GPA: 3.64
Transferring from CC in SF Bay Area
Will have completed IGETC by the end of spring and most major pre reqs

@Deeppurple I’m already at that stage where I’m checking once a day.

Does anyone know how much of a problem it is if you don’t take a class listed as planned for your Spring 14 semester?

I was wondering if there is anyone here who is applying for Environmental Engineering. I was wondering how impacted this major is compared to the more impacted engineering majors such as Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. Do any of you know of anyone who has been accepted to Cal Poly SLO for Environmental Engineering and if so, could you share their stats.

@xxcapital ya, we’ll see. I actually got into Long Beach for accounting today and the acceptance rate there is only 19% for transfers, so that brought my hopes up a bit. They had a supplemental app though so they saw my up to date GPA (3.47) while Cal Poly will only see a 3.24. Who knows though maybe going to a UC before helps (even though they say it doesnt) Would much much much rather go to SLO though.

Major - Business Admin w/ emphasis in Accounting
GPA - 3.42 (3.5 w/ Fall 2014)
- Finished all IGETC and major prep classes with A’s.

Cautiously Optimistic at this point. Good luck to all applying.

Major: Computer Engineering
GPA: 3.44 GPA
IGETC not completed.
All but one major prep finished.

Any OOS transfers get accepted today?
