@markboogie did you complete all/most of your pre reqs before you applied?

I’m pretty certain i didn’t get in Oh well, maybe additional business decisions will roll out tomorrow.

Congrats to those that did.

@spiffyb0i Somewhat. The classes I had finished at the time of applying were: Financial Accounting, Macro and Micro Economics, Stats, Finite Math and Business Communication. I still had Managerial Accounting, Business Calculous and Business Law left. I did have “A’s” on all my completed major courses though.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I also will be receiving an AA-T for Business Administration at De Anza College. IGETC is finished as well.

there’s still hope! my friend got in for business administration with around a 3.0 GPA!

I got into Civil Engineering, also checked my portal and did not receive an email.

Business admin majors!! - They don’t accept everyone in that major at once on the same day right? There is still hope!? … my stats at time applied : 3.9
IGETC completed by spring. major courses will be completed by spring.
my fall classes were : managerial accounting, business calc, macro.
i got an A in each so its a bummer that they won’t see that. Hate how they don’t ask for transcripts until you get accepted since im cramming everything in these last two semesters ahh

Accepted!!! whooo
Business Admin
4.0
all required courses

@mks006 I’m in the exact same boat as you man but it looks like our chances are very slim. IGETC would be completed after this quarter, and all major classes will be done by the spring. Maybe I’m just a Debbie downer, but I think they’d rather have students who already finished most / all of their IGETC courses along with core classes over GPA.

So does anyone know how to accept the admission? or is that done after you send transcripts?

@Spiffyb0i yea i think your right. I never really thought about it like that. sweeeeet. dreams crushed. lol Well maybe tomorrow. fingers crossed.

@Cmguevara, what was your gpa, are you in the service area of the school, and was there anything in your application that would set you apart for applying? And congratulations on getting in!

Any transfer art and design students here? I submitted my portfolio and every thing after getting past the preliminary acceptance. I really dont have the best gpa, but I’ve done all the desired/required courses and like to think I have an above average portfolio and I heard they’re trying to expand their art/design department. I know theres not many of us art students for Cal Poly and I’m trying not to freak myself out, but does anyone know anything regarding all this?

I’m an architecture major who also had to turn in a portfolio and I also haven’t heard back yet, then again Cal Poly
made the portfolio due until the 24th of February so, maybe they’re waiting until after that date to let us know.

Ohhh, being a studio art concentration, ours was due the middle of last week. I’m guessing itll take a bit longer to decide on us because we have the portfolio that goes with. Gonna try to stop worrying and refreshing my email every hour now.

I’m also missing 1 (possibly 2) desired courses so I hope my portfolio makes up for that.
Being from the local service area for Cal Poly, I’m hoping my mix of GPA, rigor of classes, portfolio, and recommendations will get me in.

Has anyone been accepted into Orfalea College of Business’s economics program yet? I see they’ve started sending out the notifications for business admin and it is making me so nervous. Also congratulations to everyone accepted so far!

Admitted to Orfalea Business Admin! Congrats to everyone accepted!!
They sent me an email notification today, however the decision was posted yesterday on my portal.

@divcollegebound what were your stats like?

Frosh engineering majors are getting their acceptances today, hopefully transfers later in the afternoon.

any other business majors hear their acceptance today?
