I am already conditionally admitted to Cal Poly and I am wondering when will they have final decision after I submitted my final transcript? What are the chances that I am not getting officially admitted?
I am asking this because if I failed to get officially admitted to Cal Poly, I want to apply for Pomona. I only accepted the offer of Pomona, however, the deadline for documents to be submitted for Pomona is June 30, so if I got admitted to SLO before June 30, I don’t have pay extra fee to have my documents sent to Pomona, if you know what I mean.
@bmxsesh, that is great news! Congrats to you. Son is headed to Honors program at local CCC with probable TAG to UCI in 2 years. Knowing that SLO does accept occasional CS/CE transfers is very helpful. Was there a strong articulation agreement? SLO and our local CCC do not seem to get along…
“The Cal Poly Admissions Office has reviewed the documents you have submitted to date and has determined that you do not yet meet the Terms and Conditions of Admission. Your final transcript/s for this term is/are now needed to determine your admission.”
Has anyone else encountered this? I submitted my final transcript the other day and I don’t know if this was a cause for change, but this came up and I’m really confused. I didn’t fail any classes, they were the same ones I put down on my application, and I have extensively talked to the Cal poly admissions office about the whole process. So what’s up?
My application status changed to that once they reviewed my in progress transcripts. I called them and they let me know that it was only because they need to verify I passed one of the classes I had in progress.
What would my chances look like if I apply to SLO for business and will have all my prereqs done by the end of Fall 2017 except for a communications course of the golden 4? I will be applying this fall and I have All A’s in the prereqs so far (macro, financial accounting, stats, english comp.) i will take Critical thinking this summer and for Fall I’ll be taking business law 1, managerial acc, micro, and biz calc and com this winter. I go to a CC in Riverside county (soCal) my overall csu GPA is around 3.6 - 3.7 but it was 3.4 before this spring semester so it improved. The thing is if my chances look slim, I’ll have to take the regular calc series and apply to UCI for econ along with other UC’s for econ. So it would be nice if any of you guys can give me aome insight. I know not being local is a huge disadvantage, but stull inight would be nice.

My GPA might reduce as I will be taking certain hard major courses like Buss Calc, Stats and Managerial Accounting. What are my chances of getting into Cal Poly?
