Daughter offered D1 sport and CS major at small private school with merit aid, but she still wants SLO.
This method of acceptance/waitlist/denial is completely inappropriate given the choices these teens have to make.

I agree but this is the way Cal Poly has released for years.
My daughter got waitlisted, and it said there was an email, but no email has arrived.

Isn’t that so crazy that your son got into all those great UCs and waitlisted from SLO?! Same for my student - in to UCB early, UCSD, UCD, UCSC with regents, SDSU, UW (pre-sciences), CWRU, Wash U - SLO waitlisted for CS! 4.5W and math through multivariable and stat. I do not know what else they wanted. Next year’s applicants – not getting in to SLO does NOT mean you will not get into many other very (and even more) selective schools!
