<p>my daughter applied "Early Decision" to Cal Poly SLO in Food Science. Her GPA os 3.6 and her ACT is 27. We have gone to 3 different events at the school where they checked her in by bar code. We also went up for an interview with the department chair of her major. How much does "early decision" increase her odds? Is it true they keep tabs of highly interested students (checking them in by bar codes) & bump them higher on the application list? Thanks!!!!!</p>

<p>If you look at the common dataset link I provided, page 6 shows that the level of interest is not considered in the admission criteria.
