<p>regarding housing, 2 suggestions:
1- click on Search This Thread and enter Housing. You will come up with a bunch of threads that will provide an excellent overview of housing @ Cal Poly.
2- then, if at all possible, visit the campus and the dorms asap. (Doing so made all the difference for my son.) As you will learn from my first suggestion there are quite a number of options.
