Not interested in anything techy:
Hoping to double major Business & English (I can't live without literature), possibly minor with psychology and/or political science. I really want to find internships (I would love to be doing something with a journalistic tinge) so I can build a good resume for jobs AND graduate school! I'm not sure if I'll still be set for law school, but for now I want to go to a top law school.

Will one of these schools prepare me more than the other? I have other schools outside of California but these are the cheapest, and have the best locations imo.

Thanks!

Have you been to both? SLO is located in one of the most beautiful places on earth! It’s also considered the top CSU. Long Beach is fine, but IMO SLO is amazing, if you like the quiet location.

I plan on visiting both when I’m off for spring break. My only concern is switching out of journalism. I’m not sure if I can make it into Business, but it pays well. Ideally, I’d double major English and Business, and if I can minor in something else. I’ve always wanted to challenge myself in high school, but my parents held me back. When I did, it was really rewarding.
Anyone know the process of switching out to double major? I would also be crossing from CLA to Orfalea. If a double major is too hard…and I can get into Business, I’ll just minor in English :/

I’d go to SLO. It is about half the size and has a much better graduation rate. (76% vs 54%).
There is a process for major changes at SLO. If you were trying to switch into an engineering discipline, it might be more difficult.
