Last day to make a decision and I'm torn...

Cal Poly:
Pros—
Nice Campus
Great Town
Some great facilities
Fairly strong business program

Cons—
Hard to get classes
Pretty far from SF and LA
Bad dining
Worried student body is "fake"
Can't change major
Graduation rate in four years is under 30%

Santa Clara:
Pros—
Better Campus
Good Location in Silicon Valley near SF and Santa Cruz
New Business building and Library are great
Better Business Program

Cons—
Jesuit
Less Selective
Not very well known out of California (likely to live elsewhere in future)
Expensive (but price isn't really a factor)

I really would appreciate input fast

I never heard of Cal Poly until I moved to California. Personally I think the difficulty in changing majors is a huge deficit for Cal Poly. Money may be a wash if u can graduate in 4 years from Santa Clara. Since money is not an issue for u I pick Santa Clara!

CP-SLO is not well known outside of California. Most undergrad biz schools are local, so neither will carry far.

Personally, I’m a big fan of a Jesuit education, even for non-Catholics. Scholarship, loyalty and service is a great focus, in addition to classroom academics.

What’s your budget?
If Santa Clara is within budget and will NOT require you more than the $5,500 in federal loans, that’d be my pick, but costs should be a factor.

I ended up picking Santa Clara because it’s a nicer campus in a better location for the profession I want to go into. I also like the individualized attention I would receive there
