Cal Poly SLO or UCSB for business/economics??

I got into the business program at Cal Poly SLO, which I wasnt expecting, and found out today that I got in the Economics program at UCSB. I don't know which school to chose!? Both in terms of their reputation and which one would give me a better college experience, let me know your thoughts, it would be greatly appreciated!

UCSB by a mile

no Cal Poly SLO

their business school is nationally ranked (70th i think)…also it’s a business school, so you’ll get more attention than just majoring in business economics

I think you’ll have a much better college experience at UCSB.
In regards to the majors, it really depends on what you’re planning to do after graduation. I don’t think by majoring in econ over business you will be at a disadvantage. Schools coming to recruit for business like majors at UCSB, will be aware that they don’t offer business at UCSB, and they’ll be looking for the alternative, which for UCSB will be Econ, or math, or anything like that.

Also, you might want to call career offices at both schools and inquire what is it like for each major in regards of recruitment, internships, etc.

Cal Poly’s job placement data can be access on its website, just search using keyword “graduate survey”.

Not sure about UCSB.

I always give extra credit to school that post detail information of their graduates’ job placement.
