Cal Poly SLO, SDSU, or U of A

Hello everyone,

I'm down to three choices, Cal Poly SLO, U of A, and SDSU. I'm leaning towards Cal Poly because i was accepted into their green light program (accelerated business course) and the fact that they have a 4 year business program. My mind is pretty much set, i just want to see what everyone else would do in this situation. I want to get a Dual degree in Finance and Accounting.

thanks,
Jeff W. Herman

Of those, I'd choose Cal Poly.

I'd actually choose SDSU. I'm biased, but SDSU offers more internships and has a better career services IMO. Plus it has the best accountancy program in the state, with the fifth best pass rate on the CPA in the country. I'm not exactly sure what this green light accelerated program entails...but because of that Cal Poly might be the better option (if you can graduate with two majors..I thought Cal Poly only had concentrations though?)

I was in the same boat as you, SDSU and Cal Poly SLO. I choose SDSU because savedbythebell7 persuaded me, just kidding. I choose SDSU because they offered better financial aid, city, weather, social life looks great, plus I've read several articles online about SDSU great business program.

I would choose U of A (I’m a California resident and I got into U of A, but will be going elsewhere). Arizona has an outstanding business program (top 25 in the country). Most students at the Eller School of Management have no trouble finding internships, and eventually jobs. 37 % of the students at U of A are from out of state – I’d estimate that about 85 % of those are from California). Not only does Arizona have a great business program, but the campus is beautiful. In a lot of ways, it reminds me of UCLA. Big school, good social life, great sports teams, lots of school spirit, and really hot girls ;)
