Cal Poly SLO Transfer Question

I plan on transferring to Cal Poly SLO as a Liberal Studies major Fall of 2014. However, after looking over the courses required to be competitive as a transfer student and using assist.org, I have had trouble with courses that do not have an articulation established at the community college I go to. I have also checked all other community colleges I could possibly attend and they do not have an articulation established either. I will be meeting with a counselor as soon as I can, but I wanted to see if somebody might have advice to give regarding this issue. Should I contact the Cal Poly Admissions Office?

Thank you!

Yes you should contact Cal Poly admissions, but as far as your classes that is a very common thing to see. A lot of the majors don’t have the articulation for classes in a lot of colleges besides Cuesta College, which is the go to community college in SLO. I think you should be fine if you are in the 3.2 and above range, or really it would depend on what kind of applicant pool there is this year for your major. Best of luck!
