I do agree with the location aspect. There is really not much out there besides the beauty of the outdoors.
For SLO, a lot of students want to go there, not because of the name, but due to the reputation of solid academic learning. The CCC I am transferring from, most of the staff graduated from SLO which sounds insane!
Anyone find any articles explaining the reason for the sudden change in number of Cal Poly’s applications in the early 2000s?
The enrollment of about 20,000 stayed the same. But for some reason the applications flooded in.

By waves, do you mean that all acceptances came out at the same exact time? Or would a wave of acceptances come out over the course of an hour or 2?

2020 - The 2 waves came out at 5:30p & then a 2nd wave came out at 10p same night.
This was not from people checking their portal later. They actually got notified at 10P even though others were notified at 5:30p
But did all of those acceptances come out right at 5:30 and 10 on the dot?
Most receive an email of the official acceptance the day after the portal notifies them. But nothing is consistent from previous years.
