Which school is better for business administration?
Also, some inside opinions and info (student life, classes etc.) will be highly appreciated :]

I don’t actually attend either but I can tell you that pomona’s campus is prettier but pomona is Dead on the weekends (I was debating between the two for engineering)

Cal Poly SLO, but Pomona aint too bad either. The only drawback is that is that SLO is pretty isolated, whereas Pomona is close to large urban centers in LA and Orange County.

Cal Poly SLO’s OCOB is ranked #64 nationally, and is the 2nd public b-school in CA, behind Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.

As far as inside info goes, I’m a second year business student at SLO, and I love it. My profs are great, classes are relatively small and interactive, and job opportunities are great. Cal Poly grad graduate making more money :)

^Question,

can you guys intern and go to school at the same time? If so which financial companies are based within driving distance from SLO?

Internships is usually for summer break and last for 3 months.

For Co-ops, CP students usually take 1 quarter off + summer for a total duration of 6 months.

Morgan Stanley, UBS, BofA Merrill Lynch all have offices in SLO. Not sure about accounting firms. And several hedge funds are in SLO as well.

yeah, most people do summer stuff, but i know friends interning with regional accounting firms and banks.

How is there marketing concentration? How easy is it to find internships for this?
