Soooo I was accepted to both SLO and UCI under Aerospace Engineering for my undergraduate.
now i'm deciding which one to go to. any opinions?

So far heres what i think

Cal Poly
Pros:
Learn by doing, quiet, peaceful college town, major courses start frosh year, 4 years experience, close knit community (in some aspects), one of the most respected engineering programs on the west coast etc (add if you have any more). Beach!

Cons:
in the country, far from any large city (LA, San Jose, SF etc), less diverse, if i dont like my major, switching will be hard

UC Irvine

Pros:
Close to LA/SD area, Diverse, beach, City/suburban life, gives me time to switch majors.

Cons:
Research oriented (well this one could be a pro or con), not as well known for engineering

I've heard from people that SLO is more for Job training, while UCI pushes you towards more innovation.

Also, I've visited both colleges 3 times, and both campuses are equally impressive. Oh and I plan on going to grad school, so job opportunites right out of colleges is not on the priority list
