Some decisions are being received this month and its making me really nervous. I have already been rejected by CSULB and accepted by SJSU and Cal Poly Pomona, but Cal Poly Slo is my number one school. I just figured that since long beach already rejected me all hope is lost. My GPA is 3.5 and I have an 1170 SAT score (out of 1600) I was wondering if there is any hope at all. I applied early decision as an Enviormental Management major and was moved to regular. Any comments is greatly appreciated.
I would say 50/50. Your GPA and SAT score are below the averages for the College of Agriculture and Environmental Science (which happens to be the easier admit college).
I got in, my stat’s weren’t very impressive:
3.3 GPA UW
29 ACT (30 if it’s weighted which i think SLO does)
Major was Business Admin.
Took lots of AP classes though.
Is it common for cal poly to revoke your admissions if you accidently calculated something wrong in your application?
Calculated wrong like GPA? No. Self report incorrect grades, yes, unless you notified them of the mistake before final transcripts are sent.
Hmmm… For a highschool student both your gpa and SAT scores are a little low. I think it’ll probably come down to your E.C’s, so if you did really well there you might have a good chance at admission. Just for reference my bf is currently a junior at SLO and her gpa was a 3.7 SAT score was 1980 out of the 2400 scale. She had killer EC’s though. Good luck
JUST GOT IN!!!
