<p>recently been admitted, so far I've heard a mixture of positive and negative comments about the school itself. </p>

<p>I've heard that Cal Poly always admitts too many freshmen, every year it increases while the campus/classrooms can barely accomadate the large number of incoming students. I've also heard that even picking classes is extremely difficult as upper classmen are given a higher priority and there is a last-name-alphabat based system involved as well. I've heard that changing majors is extremely difficult too. </p>

<p>the question is, how much of is true and what is Cal Poly really like for a business major?</p>

<p>I don’t know about the specifics, but I do know that my niece just graduated from Cal Poly (degree in business) and absolutely loved it. She was very involved with the business frateernity there as well…that opened a lot of opportunities for her. She’ll be joining the Peace Corps for two years before she returns for graduate work.</p>
