I'm going to let the counselors and admission people get a little rest before I bother them with this, so I'll post here first.
I was accepted by Davis starting Fall 2013 and Cal starting Spring 2014.
Does anyone know if it's possible to complete coursework at Davis and then transfer to Cal per my Spring admission offer? I really don't want to have to jam my coursework at Berkeley into 3 semesters in order to graduate on time.

I doubt it. Aren’t you allowed to take some CC courses before Spring, though? Take summer classes at Berkeley next year instead if not.

You got a better break than me. I was admitted to UCB from UCD and they want me to take an English course over fall but want me to take it at CC…

They’re making this difficult. :(

I’m not sure if they’ll let you got to Davis for a semester and then transfer… I’m guessing you need UCB classes that aren’t offered at CC?

If they won’t let you take a semester at Davis, you could try taking summer classes at Berkeley to lighten up the load, or look into taking classes as an extension student during the fall. Alternatively, take 4 semesters and graduate after your last Fall semester. I’m pretty sure transfers are guaranteed 4 semesters here, and can petition for a 5th if they need it.

You’ll probably have to take extension courses through UC Berkeley or UC Davis. It’s doubtful you’d be allowed to take courses in the Fall as a full time or even part time student at Davis before enrolling at Berkeley.

Has anyone who transferred last year been in this position care to tell how things rolled out ultimately?
