S23 was accepted to Sac State (we are local), Cal Poly Humboldt and CSU Monterey Bay this month.

It was in the portal and then he received an email. The email is dated December 8th.

It may take up to 48 hours to update after activating the portal.
but i think we completed the application ?
concerned as same application sent to all csu.

Status states initiated which means that application has been submitted. Have you setup the test of the CSU portals to check on the application status? Did you receive a confirmation email upon submission of the application?
sac state portal shows to do list: that says in description there still some imp items need to be completed.
we have set up other portals and they show status application received. nothing in to do.
sac state we opened just 30 min ago and it shows in description that somehing is missing, so concerned.
After Submitting
You’ll receive a confirmation email acknowledging that your application was submitted. Note that submitting does not mean your application is being reviewed by your programs. Be sure to monitor your status on the Check Status page.

What is on the “to do list”?
Give it a couple of days so the portal can update. Sometimes it takes a while for things to be uploaded. If it still shows the same status, then contact admissions.

yes , it would have been easier if they could let us know what they need rather than saying while you await your decision there are still important items that you need to complete.

he did not enter parents income, will that make a difference?
Parents income is only used to determine if an applicant qualifies for a fee waiver. Financial aid will be determined by submitting the FASFA.

If you do not wish to enter income, Cal state apply states the following:
If you don’t wish to include your income, enter $999,999.
It should not make a difference but it might be better to check with the school.
rest of csu dont show anything in to do list.
