So we lurk regularly, have done our research and sat down to fill out the Cal State Apply on line information.
Here is our puzzle.
DD went to a trimester high school for 9th grade. She accrued semester grades after that for 10 and 11, and a college class.
The Academic History section, High School Coursework allowed us to input trimesters for 9th grade, and semesters for the other grades.
We input all her classes, using the trimester option for 9th grade and then the semester option for other grades (different school). All seems fine until we go to the A-G Summary of coursework.
Her A-G Subject Totals (calculated by the website)have odd totals like 2.99 or 3.99 instead of 3 or 4 years English, Science, Foreign Language, or Math.
This is not explained in their Help section. It seems obvious to us that the .99 is caused by the year long core classes at the trimester school.
This needs to be fixed so the computer does not count her short, for example, for 4 required years of English or recommended years of Science or Math.
Apparently 3 trimesters = 1 year except on the Cal State Apply site.
Any obvious answer?
Darn it, we were done! This was supposed to be the easy part!
Thanks in advance.
