CAL State, ASU, or Ohio State...for Kinesiology

Background: 23 years old, currently serving in the United States Marine Corps, with 11 months left on contract. California resident.

So a while back, I was researching schools for Kinesiology. My top pick is USC, but that is a reach for me, so my fall backs are:

CAL State
ASU
Ohio State

The reason I picked those three is they all have a good athletic department, and also have a good Kinesiology program. The reason I care about a good athletic department is I may be able to intern and/or get some real on hands experience, that would help me in my career. I also plan to minor in Nutrition or Chemistry (most likely nutrition).

Also, would it be worth going to ASU or Ohio State and pay the out of state tutition, or can I get just as good of an education/experience from a CAL State? I dont mind going out of state, or staying in California, I just want the best education and experience.

Well, TOSU is extremely military friendly!!

Best of Luck to you & Go Bucks!! :)

Do check out ASU, it’s a veteran friendly campus and I would encourage you to contact the Pat Tillman Foundation with an eye to becoming a Pat Tillman military scholar. It might help with your tuition.
