Cal State Chances?

Hello!
I have applied to Cal Poly Pomona, Fullerton, Northridge, and Cal State Sacramento! I haven't heard anything back from any of these schools and I was just wondering if someone could give me a little heads up or idea if I even have a chance?

My GPA is 3.4

My SAT:
Math: 450
Reading: 470
Writting: 470
(Very low I know)

My dream school out of the four is Cal Poly Pomona and my major would be in Music Business which isn't impacted. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help!!

Bump? Even if your replies are negative I would love a reply!

I think you’d make a great addition to your local community college. Here you can underachieve and not be judged upon it!

So you don’t think there is any chance at all?

The states shouldn’t be too much of an issue. I remember being in high school in the 90s and they pre-excepted me to my local state without SATs. But Cal Poly is another issue. That one is dependent on your major you want to enter with. I have no idea, but I think from my understanding Sac State is not that competitive, like Long Beach or San Diego.

I would spring for the ACT, you would definitely probably get a higher score.

Does your family live in the same county of any of the schools on your list?
Residents get priority but your low scores will knock that advantage out.

@Batilo No but I do live in California! I had talked with a CPP academic advisor and she said I actually have a possiblity of getting in she didn’t say my stats were super low and said a 1,000 GPA would be pretty strong with my transcript which I’m not too far from

920 on the SAT is pretty low, but just about average for CSUN and Sacramento. Fullerton is a tad higher. Cal Poly Pomona would be a stretch.

SAT scroes

CSUN 920
Sacramento 955
Fullerton 997
Cal Poly Pomona 1087

Doesn’t a GPA help a little as well? Like for Northridge my GPA is above average and wouldn’t that help my chances?

you should have no problem getting into CSUN.

Oh okay! Thank you! I was also wondering of by any chance do you know for Cal Poly if your major isn’t impacted, I talk to them and they said for Music Industry studies they are literally trying to find people to recruit since not many people know of the program, do you think this could help the fact of my low SAT? Because I heard that Cal Poly does it a little differently than say CSULB who doesn’t really take major into consideration?

Music at CPP

200 out of 375 accepted. You can do the math.
