How are the dorms there? Where are the showers? How are the people that live there?

I think northridge is traditionally more of a commuter school.

hec2008 is right, but Northridge does have some pretty dorms for those who stay in them. (In my experience, the CSUs have better dorms than most. Sonoma State has balconies and really big bathrooms. The ones I saw mainly had showers, but some had bathtubs.) Anyway, from what I remember from the campus --- they were building more "high-tech" dorms and everyone was really excited. Keep in mind, though, despite it being a spacious campus, parking and traffic is bad. Like going to SFO during rush hour bad. :l

EDIT: Someone I know visited the campus a couple of years back and said that she visited a new dorm and the rooms were big. I don't remember what she said about bathrooms, but my guess is that they were big too. =/

A friend of mine just moved out of the dorms into a studio apartment down the street from CSUN. He said that most of the kids there trash the buildings and that they desperately need to be renovated.

Northridge's dorms are comprised of a grouping of stucco apartments on the north end of campus, at the intersection of Lassen and Zelzah.

There are also the University Village Apartments further north, which are older and more rundown.

Fortunately, the university has plans to redevelop this area with new dorm buildings...unfortunately, they won't be ready for a couple years.
