CSUF: still waiting for their reply.
My question is: Does it likely to take longer to reply to International Students? I haven’t got any reply from neither csuf nor csulb yet while some of my friends who are not international students already got accepted. And is there any hope for me with my grades like that? I’m extremely nervous… It’s almost the end of September already…
@emilie103193 I would believe so. I think it might have to do with course articulations from international institutions if you have credit from there? I could be wrong though! Long Beach won’t be giving out admissions until about mid-October. Deadline for Fullerton to accept offer is Nov. 15, but if admitted after, I believe you have 2 weeks to accept. So you have time to hear back. I think you have a chance, but worst case would be that you would have to apply for Fall 2017 in October as a back up. Hopefully that helped you a little! Good luck!
@queen133 CSUF is considered an Orange County school, so if you live in LA/go to community college in LA County, we’re pretty much second in line. I am also LA county. OC schools/residents get priority in admissions. I’m also still waiting for a response.
Are you positive CSUF is asking for your final transcripts through Fall 2016?
They sent me a reminder that my final transcripts through Summer 2016 are due by October 3rd. To my knowledge they only ask you to send final transcripts through Fall 2016 after you have been accepted/offered admission (I am currently also in my last fall semester)
@cvssvndrv CSUF asked me for my AS-T transcripts that are due by October 3rd. I hand delivered them last week. I was told it would take 2-3 weeks by the admissions office to scan them in and remove the hold. I have not been accepted yet so i don’t see where you got that information from. They must review the transcripts before they accept or deny you. Im very surprised how quickly some of you got accepted/denied. I applied 8/02 and received my AS-T transcripts verification email on 9/19. Still waiting for a reply…
Also, in my ‘To Do’ list, is states that my transcripts are "initiated’. The link about initiated sais the following:
Initiated means we need this item or we have not yet processed one that has been sent. Allow 4 weeks for us to process the item from the time it was sent.
If you received all “W” grades at this school or did not attend, an official transcript or letter of non-attendance is required.
Spring 2017 applicants- The deadline to submit official transcripts with grades through summer 2016 is Oct.1, 2016. If this deadline is not met, your application may be withdrawn.
A question to those who have already been accepted: When are you able to enroll for classes? I get a message that says “You do not have access to enrollment at this time”. Thanks!
@Mikoyan21 Have you already completed your AS-T? I am currently in my final semester at my community college with my AS-T in progress, which is why the deadline for my grades through Summer 2016 is October 3rd & my deadline to submit/verify my ADT in progress is “no later than November 16, 2016”
CSUF is using my grades through Summer 2016 to review for spring admission.
You may have different dates/requirements if you have already completed your AS-T prior to the Fall 2016 semester. You may not have heard back yet because transcripts haven’t been processed/removed from your to do list (especially if you submitted it a few days ago). When I submitted my transcripts, it took about a week for them to remove it from my to do list. Also, if you live outside of the OC area, that could also prolong your admissions decision because OC students get priority registration over non-local applicants
@Mikoyan21 Have you done your online orientation? Those admitted should get academic advisement before they enroll, but I guess online orientation can be used in lieu of removing the hold. I emailed admissions regarding if we are able to enroll for courses at the in-person orientation and they didn’t answer my question. They said that my registration date will be posted on the portal at a later date… I mean, I know that, but I want to be on the right track of choosing classes. Lol. One of the cons of being a spring transfer, I guess.
I have also checked their previous spring registration calendar and it starts the end of October for Graduates and Seniors, Juniors Nov. 2-4, Sophomores Nov. 5-6, and continuing freshmen Nov. 9-10. So registration should start early November to right before the semester starts.
Sorry @Mikoyan21, I incorrectly tagged you in my last post haha my mistake.

@cvssvndrv Yes, i have completed the AS-T. I live in Long Beach. Went to cc in Orange County. In person, the admissios office told me to wait 2-3 weeks for a response. Online, on my ‘to do’ list there is a message saying wait 4 weeks. Im hoping any news arrives sooner rather than later but i am still waiting on other schools that i applied to as well. Just gotta be patient now.
@cvssvndrv yeah i checked it says send final transcripts. the one after fall semester. its weird cuz they haven’t said if I’m accepted yet or not. I’m still waiting for that. I sent my transcripts long time ago. they got my transcripts on sept 14 i think.
Got accepted today! Took long enough but i’m in!
Last thing they want is my final transcript once this Fall 16 semester is done.
I’m still waiting to hear back from Long Beach (they’re my first choice).
Just got accepted yesterday, I am so happy, I was left devastated last year when I didn’t get in anywhere. I also applied to Cal State Long Beach and haven’t heard back but Fullerton was my first choice. I hope I can drop Stats now.
Major: Accounting
GPA: 3.16 (without GPA Bump)
Completed ADT
@mrcasanova4657 Congrats on getting in! Is stats a major requirement or needed for your GE requirement? If you put that you’re taking stats when you applied, I’m sure they are wanting to see you finish the class. Correct me if I’m wrong though! Haha.
@mrcasanova4657: I agree with @psych10 that if it is a major requirement or GE requirement, CSUF will want to see you finish the class. Either way, do not drop the class until you confirm with CSUF that it will not affect your provisional admission.
@psych10 Well that is the thing stats is neither a GE requirement nor a major requirement. I was only taking the class in case I was going to get into Long Beach where it is a major requirement. Fullerton only requires either Business Calculus or Calculus 1 and I already passed that class.
Got into CSULB!!! Sorry Fullerton but Long Beach is my first choice! Either way I’m happy. If anyone is waiting to hear from CSULB check your application status yourself. I checked this morning and got accepted!!!
