If that were my kid, the easy answer would be community college to EARN the right to transfer. (Yeah, I know, the horrors of attending a juco from a private school.)
fwiw: plenty of grade inflation is the bottom half GPA of your HS is 3.2…actaully, like a lot of private schools, A’s may be hard, but it probably just doesn’t give out many C’s. (The old-fashioned, ‘gentelemen’s B-’, just like the Ivies.)
