<p>xcaliberse> I should clarify. I attended cc at two different times. My first attempt was quite a few years ago. My cum GPA was around 2.7. When I returned I did 2 years (as most of my previous courses were akin to underwater basketweaving) In my new coursework I had a GPA of 3.9. When averaged together I came out with a 3.3. It was the gap and upward trend that got me in (and a decent set of essays). A 3.3 is NOT a guarantee of getting into Cal or UCLA by any means.</p>

<p>i just wanted to bump this thread, these are some crazy numbers compared to some of the ones i've seen on the board for this year. kinda scary!</p>
<p>sweetnezz, please keep in mind that both Cal and UCLA look at not only GPA but also community service involvement as well as ECs that aren't common. Especially Cal. They will look at your personal statements plenty.</p>
