Cal, UCLA, UCSD, UCI?

So here's the deal, i have a 3.667 after taking 12 UC transferable units in fall 09 at a california community college. Planning to transfer to one of the four UC's listed above and major in econ for cal, biz econ for ucla, econ, management science for ucsd, and biz econ for uci.

I am in the TAP program for UCLA and UCI, will do TAG for UCSD.

I have one year of experience as a paid private tutor. I'm also involved in a club at my college, and have an internship at a utilities company in the summer.

My question is: what GPA do you think I need for econ at Cal, management science/econ at ucsd, and biz econ at uci?

Cal Econ/UCLA biz econ - 3.8
And for the others just TAG and get a 3.0 i guess unless econ is excluded (havent checked)

I talked to an admissions counselor at UCLA and he told me 3.9 for UCLA biz econ.

nah its like 3.8

lakerforever24 where did you get the info for cal econ or did you just guesstimate?

my friend got into cal econ with like a 3.5 gpa, but she had a lot of EC. Also had a friend get into ucla biz econ with 3.5.

Ya, I agree. But I would try to get a 3.9. That is what he told me. I figured he bumped it up a little :)

@CalBearGuy

The cutoff for non TAP biz-econ applicants was a 3.9 last year.

I’m pretty sure you need a 3.8 minimum in order to get into biz econ. it’s really competitive. i really doubt the credibility of the 3.5 statement above ^
