Thank you so much! And no no, it’s really nice to hear the honest downside and cons of a school with the pros, so I really appreciate that; it’s good to know what it actually has to offer versus what’s advertised. And I’m glad to hear that you can take some writing courses! Even if you have to struggle a bit for it. And ahh, I see! I actually think I’d like that way of teaching better, just because grades have always been a stressor for me and I can handle pushing myself on my own without the incentive. Thanks so much for the advice!
(now the next thing to do is not mess up on the audition or preparation for the audition haha—)
@mrfj18 Don’t worry about the audition. Just pick pieces that you actually like, instead of something to impress them. Don’t censor yourself and when you sit down to talk to them after the audition, just be very honest about what you are looking for in a school/in your career. They like people that have strong opinions. Also, have a monologue and a song in your back pocket that don’t fall under the typical “college audition material” category. A Pink Floyd song or a poem would be good examples.
@astute12 if your daughter needs any help still, tell her to get in contact with me. Literally everyone in my class comes to me for help with Critical Studies, because signing up for these classes is super confusing.
Thanks so much, @milkshakespeare!
Alright! Thank you so much for the advice! I wouldn’t thought to prepare a poem or song, so I’ll be sure to look into that
