My credits from Purdue that I've been collecting over the past two years are transferring in full to U-Mich (13 in all) they're Physics credits, Precal (Algebra III at Purdue), and Calc 1 Credits. Since my Calc 1 credits transfer I have the option of going to calc 2. My only worry is, would a student who hasn't taken a calc course at U-Mich be alright jumping straight into the Calc 2 course, and how is the workload in that class as well?

Calc I is Calc I, no matter where you take it. If you are comfortable with the material, you should be fine. This said, Calculus II at Michigan is TOUGH! But that has nothing to do with whether or not you took Calc I at Michigan.

My daughter took Calc I & II at a local college while in HS. She jumped in to Calc 3 & 4 at UM her freshman year and struggled a little in Calc 3, but did fine.

okay cool. I am wondering the same thing. I am in calc 2 @ a community college and want to go straight to calc 3 but I am scared that I might struggle.
Did you daughter have to place into calc 3, or did her credits transfer and allow her to start right in calc 3?
