Hey guys, I was wondering how important calc 3 is for differential equations. I'm taking calc 2 right now, and I want to take calc 3 at my hometown community college so I can take differential equations next fall. The reason is because I'm going to be studying abroad in the spring, I don't want to take a semester off of math and try to come back into it. If I finish differentials in the fall I'll be finished. But is that a smart move? I don't want to be screwed over in differential equations by not having the greatest background in calc 3 because I didn't take it at UF.

you don’t do any calc 3 in diff eq. you only need sequences and series for diffeq, everything else in it is unique.

So far in my Differential Equations class we use partial derivatives and partial integrals (which you learn in Calc 3), but once you just see them a few times they click easily. Overall they are two COMPLETELY different styles of math classes, so I say do what you wish.
