<p>Anyone know what the typical curve is for math 215 (non-honors)? </p>

<p>I honestly forgot the curve, but 215 is not a difficult class. If you are comfortable with 115 and 116 material, 215 is actually relatively easy.</p>
<p>Alexandre, my roommate takes Calc 3.
He's been cursing it all semester long, but ended up with a B+. So yeah, it's 'that' kinda class</p>
<p>o.O Wow - either they changed it ALOT or I just got really stupid over the summer. I had straight A's in calc BC and a 5 on the AP...Then came calc 3 which right now I think I'm averaging about a 75 on tests and 60 on the written hwk...Uh oh</p>
<p>Razz and Krazy, I should qualify my statement. The material covered in Math 215 is NOT easy. However, the grading is relatviely leniant. Most students get a B or B+.</p>
<p>I took Calc 3 Applied Honors last year (Math 255), and would recommend going that route. Smaller class, more lenient curve, no web homework, no labs, no gateways, etc.</p>
<p>I didn't think I was doing very well in the class at all and was pleasantly surprised to get an A- in the course.</p>

<p>How did your roommate already get a grade for Math 215? Isn't the final exam on Monday?</p>
<p>The grade depends on the section, and it's usually based off of the average. My section last year had 70% being a B- while another section had no curve whatsoever.</p>
<p>Alright, well right now I'm just gonna study my ass off for the final (tomorrow) and hope for the best. Our section has a gsi that grades really hard on written hwk (took off 33% for messiness - no it wasn't that bad) so I'll just hope that he brings up the curve a lot.</p>

Lecturer: Sophie Morier-Genould [Might have spelled it wrong]: Doesn't speak English well and makes you copy many notes but you never really understand it. I ended up going to the 9 o'clock math class instead (forgot the teachers name) [Yeah it was that bad-I actually woke up early to go to the 9:00 am instead of the 2 pm]</p>

<p>Our prof said the average would be curved around a B in our class.</p>

<p>I don't want to speak for illinifan, but honors sections are much smaller, so the grades come in very fast. I have a few of mine already.</p>
