I’m currently in calculus AB as a senior. I’m doing fairly well in the class and was wondering that with some studying would I be able to take the BC test? And can someone explain the AB subscore?? Let’s say I get a 1 or a 2 would a 4 or 5 AB subscore allow me to get credit if the school offered AB credit?
I’m in 2 other APs but don’t plan on applying for credit for either of them (i.e. I plan on just showing up for the test and getting a grade because my school requires it) so this is the only one I’m going to be preparing for specifically.
Considering you are not done yet with AP Calc AB and there is only two months to AP exams, it is almost impossible to self study the C part of AP Calc BC,
It is not very meaningful either. I’m not sure if universities check the AB subscore. You won’t gain much by taking BC exam anyway (it is almost guaranteed that your BC score won’t be a huge success). It is much much safer to go on with AB alone.
With some studying, no. Which a lot of studying, maybe. The C part is one semester’s worth of work that you are trying to cram into 8 weeks. It can be done, but it’s not going to be easy.
