Calc AB or BC, AP deadline is Friday

We have to sign up by this Friday for this year's AP tests. Our school's Calculus BC class won't have covered all of the BC material by the exam date. The snow days slowed the class down, I presume. So the teacher has recommended we take the AB exam. In the best of all possible worlds my d would have self-studied this material, but it's too late now, and her schedule is pretty packed anyway. I just wonder what the colleges will think when they see she took the AB exam in a year when she took the BC course. Have other parents out there dealt with this situation?

Is she going to university next fall? If so, what is the university’s policy with respect to the AB subscore of the BC test?

No, she has another year before college. I didn’t know about the AB subscore…

If she will continue math at a community college during senior year in high school, you may want to check the community college’s policy of the AP Calculus test, including the AB subscore of the BC test.

AS someone who took both courses, just take B.C. it’s only 20% harder at most

Take AB this year and BC next year.
